Learn Piano by
Playing Familiar Songs
Using my simple, proven program called Technique Through
Music, developed and perfected over 40+ years of teaching,
you learn piano by playing melodies, not drills, so that
repertoire is being developed at the same time as technique.
The results are immediate: Right away, you will be playing
real music! The songs will be familiar, so you will know
how it should sound. Instead of playing repetitive scales and
drills over and over, you will learn simple songs that include
the technique in question. This is the method. The means
is through Pattern Memory.

About Helena Sandler
In my 40+ years of teaching piano, I have helped hundreds
of students express themselves musically by playing the piano.
I am an accomplished professional pianist, accompanist, music
publisher, and music teacher. I have taught piano privately
and at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, and developed
this method over many years of teaching. I believe music
enriches our lives, and everyone can enjoy playing the piano
regardless of their "musical ability." Since I
can't teach everyone in person, I have self-published these
piano lesson books and tape which I compiled, edited, arranged,
composed, and performed.
What is "Bach's Method?"
J.S. Bach, who lived from 1685-1750, had 20 children, 12 of
whom he taught to play keyboard - usually the organ. As his
children progressed, Bach wrote pieces of music specifically
geared to their level of playing to help them learn and master
important techniques while playing his beautiful music.
These simple pieces are still wonderful learning aids for piano
/ keyboard students of all ages. My piano lesson books and tape/CD
make use of many of these works by Bach.
